Women's
Challenge 2011
Attendees had hands on learning with the sled dogs.
Some of the
things people learned to do: harnessing, feeding, poop detail,
hooking into the gangline, driving a small team and also we worked with
4 young Samoyeds new to harness work. Pull training and line out work,
using these young Samoyeds, was also part of the program.
Attendees representing ND, MN, AZ, OK & SC
Bob came over
on Saturday and did a talk and demostration of skijoring using
Torrey. And also showed everyone canicross using his special
snowshoes

Attendees experiencing driving a
small sled team
Attendees had 3 opportunities
to drive a team of dogs. They also tried out the different sleds
and used different dogs for each run so they had an appreciation for
all the dogs. Using the dually sled made it much easier to hook
up 6 dogs and for the musher to be along to instruct the person.
